Tam strengthens scheduling from Buenos Aires in winter
This winter, the airline will add seven new frequencies per week, linking Buenos Aires with different points of Brasil. From June 19th to August 10th, it will add departures from Ezeiza to Recife, Porto Seguro, Salvador, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
Andes Lineas Aereas to arrive at Esquel
Thanks to an agreement signed between the government of the province of Chubut and Andes Lineas Aereas, as of June 29th Esquel will be integrated in the aero commercial route whose current destination is Puerto Madryn. Andes will carry out two weekly flights on the Buenos Aires- Puerto Madryn -Esquel- Buenos Aires route.

First boutique hotel will be opened in Rosario

On December 10th, with the opening of the Savoy, Rosario will have the first prototype boutique hotel, with the renovation of the former San Lorenzo and San Martin building and a large part of its furniture.

Hilton will open new hotel in Bariloche
Imocom will make an investment of more than US$ 120 million in a hotel which will be managed by Hilton and will have 210 rooms. The Hilton Bariloche – Patagonia will be located within the “Circuito Chico” with a shore on the Moreno Este Lake.
Blue Tree Hotels will open third hotel
Blue Tree Hotels announced that before the end of the year, it would set the opening of its third establishment in Argentina. It informed of plans to open a hotel in Buenos Aires, which will be added to the one operating in the Recoleta and Bariloche neighborhood.

Tam will begin flights between Rio-Miami in September

The president of Tam informed that the flight between Rio de Janeiro and Miami would begin in September.

Delta Air Lines flights to Sao Paulo – Atlanta
Since Monday the 5th, Delta Air Lines has been operating the Sao Paulo-Atlanta-Sao Paulo route in two of its seven weekly frequencies.

OceanAir will cease flying to twelve destinations

OceanAir will cease flying to 12 national destinations, concentrating its operations in 25 destinations with the aim of accelerating the uniformization of its fleet. OceanAir will no longer operate in Vitoria da Conquista, Macae, Uberaba, Sao Jose dos Campos, Juazeiro do Norte, Joao Pessoa, Natal, Aracatuba, Iguazu Falls, Goiania, Palmas and Cascavel.

Varig cancels flights to Spain after 5 months of operations

Varig’s final flight between Madrid and Sao Paulo departed on May 12th after the company decided to cancel this route, which began operating in the Barajas airport in December.

Korean Air to operate again in the country
After a meeting held in Brasilia between the president of Embratur and the manager of Business Development and Marketing of Korean Air for Latin America, the return of the airline to Brasil was confirmed. As of June 3rd, Korean Air will link Sao Paulo and Los Angeles three times per week.

LAN and TAM’s frequent flyer program agreement

Frequent flyers of LAN and TAM will be able to accumulate mileage and points, respectively, and earn rewards for the flights operated by both companies. This is part of an agreement reached last year whose aim is to expand the services offered to their clients. LANPASS members will accumulate mileage from their flights with TAM and will be able to earn rewards for flights operated by that airline.

Copa increases daily flights from Lima

As of August 11th, Copa Airlines will have a fourth daily frequency to Panama City. The airline made this announcement as part of an aggressive growth plan using its Hub of the Americas in Panama City as a connection center with the rest of the continent.

Luxury hotel will be constructed in Pucallpa

Inversiones Turisticas de la Amazonia (Amazon Tourism Investments) will build “the largest and most modern hotel of the Peruvian Amazon” in Pucallpa. The construction will require an investment of US$ 12 million.

Fares for the Machu Picchu-Aguas Calientes route will increase

The Conseltur Machu Picchu consortium announced the increase of its fares for the transportation service from Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes) to the Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu and vice versa, which will be put into effect on June 1st. The company indicated that the cost per foreign adult for roundtrip service will be US$ 14, while the price per foreign child will be US$ 7.

Decameron will begin construction of resort in Punta Sal in August

In August, Decameron will begin the construction of a resort in Punta Sal (Tumbes). The Blue Marlin business association announced the US$ 65 million investment this year in hotel projects in different locations throughout the country.

Casa Andina will open three-star hotel next year

The Casa Andina hotel chain will open a three-star hotel in Trujillo (La Libertad) in the first quarter of next year, informed its Marketing manager.

Avianca will inaugurate Cali-Medellin-Caracas route

As of yesterday, Avianca has been operating the Cali-Medellin-Caracas route. The connection will be operated with four weekly frequencies. The airline thus completes a total of 43 Colombia-Venezuela-Colombia frequencies per week and will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Pestana inaugurated hotel in Caracas

Pestana inaugurated its 11th establishment in South America, the five-star Pestana Caracas, which was added to the nine hotels operating in Brasil and the Pestana Buenos Aires.
