its 22nd hotel. The Howard Johnson

flights to Buenos Aires |
| As of November,
the Australian airline will begin
to fly between Sydney and Buenos
Aires, with three flights per
week using a Boeing 747-400. |
| Mall Group would
invest €450 million in resort |
| The president
of the Mall Group has met with
the President of Argentina to
inform her of his plans for investment
in the country, where he is studying
the possibility of promoting a
residential touristic resort similar
to the one being developed in
the Mexican State of Campeche.
The project will probably be undertaken
in the Patagonia and will have
an investment of €450 million. |

| TAM presented
the guidelines for its re-positioning
to consolidate itself as one of
the main companies of the world
aviation market. TAM has just
become the leader in operations
and transported passengers in
the Southern Hemisphere, and according
to a study, there was an average
of 21,800 operations per month
last year and 2,251 million passengers
transported per month. |

agreement with TAP |
| VRG announced
an agreement to establish an interline
with TAP Portugal. The passengers
of the airline will have access
to other destinations through
the routes of the TAP network,
including Portugal, Denmark, England,
Germany, Italy and Switzerland. |

fly to Sao Paulo |
| Korean Air will
fly to South America, re-establishing
the route between Seoul and Sao
Paulo, an operation which was
suspended after a decrease in

to Brasil with two new routes,

will increase by 20% |
| This year, 240
thousand luxury tourists could
arrive to the country, representing
an increase of 20% with respect
to those who arrived last year.
Lima Tours pointed out that these
tourists spend almost US$ 500
per person daily. |

four-star hotel in Puno |
| The hotel chain
Jose Antonio inaugurated its first
four-star hotel (Puno). The hotel
will have 131 rooms, and had an
investment of US$ 7.5 million. |
| JW MARRIOTT Will
construct a five-star hotel in
Cusco |
| The JW Marriott
chain will construct a five-star
hotel in Cusco, with an investment
of US$ 18 million and US$ 20 million.
The project is the process of
being evaluated by the INC, after
which it will move to the district
municipality of Cusco for the
corresponding authorization. |

AVIANCA will
undertake Ocean Air operation |
The president
of the Sinerg Group informed
that Avianca will assume operation
of Ocean Air. The decision is
part of a unification plan of
the consortium’s air companies.
Both companies are expanding
their fleet of aircraft with
the contracted purchase of 90
Airbus and Boeing craft, seventy
of which will be for the Colombian
airline.

| Avianca returns
to the Dominican Republic, while
Aerorepublica aims at Panama as
a connection center. A Sam, Aires,
ADA and Spirit Airlines were also
allocated frequencies. Avianca
received the authorization for
seven frequencies between Bogota
and Mexico and some others between
the country’s capital and
Santo Domingo. |

| Delta Air Lines
informed that the Department of
Transport of the United States
gave its preliminary authorization
to begin operating daily flights
between the John F. Kennedy and
Eldorado airports. |

AVIACION will open two flights
between Monterrey and New York |
As of May 1st,
Mexicana de Aviacion will begin
two daily flights connecting
Monterrey and New York. These
flights will be operated with
Airbus A319 with a capacity

will begin to fly in May |
The Minister
of Tourism informed that in
April the first Boeing 737 will
arrive, with which Air Dominicana
will begin flights to the United

new touristic attraction |

country’s new tourist attraction.
The coordinator of China Town
informed that from the 17 th to
the 20th of April the Chinese
community residing there will
be able to display their traditions

during the first two months of
2008 |
| This year’s
increase in tourism could surpass
that of 2007. During the first
two months of 2008, 9.14% more
tourists arrived compared to the

Barcelo Hotels
& Resorts plans the expansion
of its presence, incorporating
seven establishments between
now and 2010. The chain foresees
the opening of a 629 room lodging
in Cayo Santa Maria, another

in the Monte Barreto area, and
a third of 358 rooms in Varadero,
the Barcelo Arenas Blancas. |

Soon, the Salvadorian
market will also have access
to the low prices offered by
Spirit Airlines which could
begin operations in August.
The news was confirmed by the
