The government
of Buenos Aires will strengthen
promotion of tango abroad |
| The head of the
Buenos Aires Government and the
Minister of Culture and chairman
of the Tourism Entity of the City
announced the plan for participation
in international festivals to
continue strengthening and positioning
tango abroad. The aim is to spread
and coordinate the efforts and
activities which make Buenos Aires
a cultural destination to other
countries. |
LAN will have more flights to
the interior of the country
|
LAN Argentina
announced new flights between
Buenos Aires and the cities
of Neuquen and San Juan. In
the first case, it will add
two daily frequencies as of
July 15th. The government of
Neuquen announced that it is
working on the specifications
for the call for bids for new
routes in order to have flights
to the cities of Rincon de los
Sauces and San Martin de los
Andes. Flights to San Juan will
begin in August with four frequencies
per week. |
| Sur Lineas Aereas
explores new routes |
| In order to increase
connectivity between cities within
the country, Sur Lineas Aereas
presented its new plan of operations
which covers the following initial
destinations with charter flights:
Ushuaia, Comodoro, Rivadavia,
Rio Gallegos, Montevideo and El
Calafate. |

offer trips to Antarctica |
| For the first
time, Celebrity will begin offering
trips to Antarctica. The Celebrity
Infinity, which holds 2,050 passengers,
will operate two 14-night cruises
from Buenos Aires. The first trip
will depart on January 31st, 2010,
and the second on February 14th. |

60% for longer flights, Lan
is evaluating the routes that
