Aerolineas Argentinas signed state transfer |
The Government and the Spanish group Marsans officialized the transfer to the State of the company Aerolineas Argentinas and its subsidiary Austral. The signing of the minutes of the agreement took place in the Ministry of Federal Planning and establishes the transfer of 94.41% of the shares of Aerolineas and 97% of the shares of Austral. |
Lan Argentina will fly to Sidney on a shared code with Qantas |
LAN will market 3 direct weekly frequencies between Buenos Aires and Sydney in flights operated by Qantas in a shared code agreement. The flights of the Australian company –also member of oneworld- are foreseen to begin on November 24th with Boeing 747/400 and wait for the approval of the authorities from both countries. |

| Air Comet temporarily suspends its flights to Balmaceda |
Air Comet Chile suspended its flights to Temuco and Balmaceda. In a corporate communiqué, it points out that the measure is temporary, due to the bad weather conditions that have been detrimental to the normal development of its operations in both cities, to which the increase in fuel costs has also been added. |

| Rio de Janeiro put into practice an initiative which enables tourists to enjoy wireless connection to internet “with a view to the sea” from Copacabana. Although for now only a part of the beach is serviced by the connection, the initiative intends for the whole of the state of Rio de Janeiro to have coverage next year. |
LAN increases frequencies to Australia |
LAN will fly from Brasil to Australia in just 19 hours and 45 minutes. With 3 weekly frequencies, the operation will begin on November 24th from Guarulhos, in Sao Paulo. |
Air China will cease to fly to the country in September |
Air China informed that it will suspend its direct operation between Sao Paulo and Madrid as from September 14th, waiting to recommence the operation in the first quarter of next year. |

Coming from Montevideo through the Interbalnearia Route and
following the path of white, fine and shiny sands, the visitor
will suddenly see a scene of high towers along the sea, but
there will still be a long way to enter the peninsula itself.
Beaches have traveled with him, just as the yachts and boats
headed to their docks. The peninsula constitutes a world of
containment for the ocean waves’ force and produces two different
kinds of coasts: Brava and Mansa. (Literally: Rough and Mild).

Being an area of land surrounded by the sea it presents a
