| Varig will return
to Buenos Aires |
Varig had to
back out of its decision to
leave its employees in Argentina.
Thus, it resumes its operations
to Buenos Aires which were canceled
on August 9th. The new agreement
with the employees includes
the incorporation of around
51 former workers of VARIG (the
old company) to VRG. These employees
will have two years of work
stability guaranteed. |
| Exclusive apart
hotel inaugurated in October |
| More than 800
000 gay tourists, who annually
visit Buenos Aires, will be able
to stay in an apart-hotel which
is totally exclusive for them.
The Friendly Card Apart Hotel,
the first temporary rental building
only for homosexuals, will be
inaugurated on October 1st in
the Monserrat district. It is
a building with 45m2 apartments,
for four people, totally equipped
and with a minimalist decoration. |

| Aerolineas Argentinas
resume flights in October |
| On
October 22nd, Aerolineas Argentinas
will resume its flights to Asuncion
with two daily flights, after
its withdrawal in 2001 due to
economic problems. They are
also negotiating the return
of American Airlines that withdrew
from Paraguay in February 2006,
claiming low profitability from
the connection with Asuncion.
They airline pointed out that
the reason for its return was
the increase of the demand in
air traffic in the Asuncion-Buenos
Aires route. The demand on this
route has increased in about
10%, as far as the year goes. |

| TAM begins daily
flights in Venezuela |
| On September
28, TAM will begin to operate
a daily flight to Caracas, departing
from the Tom Jobim International
Airport of Rio de Janeiro, with
stopovers in San Paulo and Manaus,
arriving at the “Simon
Bolivar” Maiquetia terminal
in Caracas. |
| Ibis introduces
non-smoking hotels |
| Ibis, the ACCOR’s
chain of facilities, launches
its first 100% non-smoking hotels.
The chain develops this pioneer
initiative worldwide by remodeling
three of its hotels in the country:
the Ibis Curitiba Civic Center,
Ibis San Paulo Paulista and the
Ibis Vitoria Beach del Canto. |

|
Considered as one of the four
priority markets for international
tourism -together with thermal
springs, snow and vineyard tourism-,
sport fishing is an emerging
market which has been growing
exponentially. Two years ago
this activity brought in US$
7.5 million; now, the projection
for 2007 doubles that amount
with US$ 15 million. Currently,
only Aisen has 72 sport fishing
operators. |

incorporates two aircrafts and
a new route |
| Former Aerolineas
del Sur announced the opening,
as from October 15th, of its new
flights to Conception and the
incorporation of two new Boeing
737 to its fleet. Furthermore,
starting from November 5th, a
fourth weekly frequency will unite
Santiago and Madrid. |

| AVIANCA Increases
frequencies to Bogota |
| As from December
8th, Avianca will increase its
daily frequencies on the Lima-Bogota-Lima
route, thus offering two daily,
direct flights with no stopovers.
The new flight frequency for
the route will be served in
a Boeing B-767 aircraft with
a capacity for 213 passengers. |

| Hoteles Libertador
expects to conclude the construction
of its new luxury hotel in the
Urubamba valley in the first quarter
of 2009. |

begin operating with rates
24% lower in comparison with
other operators. The airline

of 35 billion pesos, this project
is the most innovative complex
since it consists of 4 towers,
3 of which are apartment towers

is a combination of suites and

direct route in October |
| The Panama
Institute of Tourism (IPAT)
informed that KLM will open
a new non-stop direct route
between Europe and Panama at
the beginning of October. The
airline will have flights with
three weekly frequencies. Nordstrom
informed that the tourism authorities
will diversify their outbound
tourism markets, so they will
invest 30% of the advertising
budget in Europe this year. |

agreement ratified with Cuba |
| Panama and Cuba
entered into a new text of the
bilateral agreement on air transport
services existing between both
countries. This agreement will
increase the frequencies between
Panama and Cuba from 21 to 28
weekly flights and will modify
the route layout by permitting
flights from both countries to
more destinations. |

Cap Cana, the

Cap Cana”. The establishment
will have 220 rooms and a wide
range of luxury activities:
a luxurious spa, a private beach
club and five restaurants. |
