and generates US$ 3 200 million |
An estimated
1.5 million people will visit
Argentina this year and will
generate an income of US$ 3
200 million. It is calculated
that foreign tourism will reach
approximately 7 million people
in ten years. |

will suspend direct route to NY |
| Aerolineas Argentinas
decided to suspend the flights
because of, according to the company,
the necessity of programming its
flights depending on their profitability.
The company, which has currently
three flights per week to Miami
and another three to New York,
will link up these destinations
and Delta will take charge of
the second one. |

| LAN passenger
traffic increases in August |
LAN reported
a 20% annual increase in its
passenger traffic in August.
It informed that the international
passenger traffic increased
by 19.6%, while within Chile
it increased by 31.8%. |

Sur changes image |
| Aerolineas del
Sur presented Air Comet Chile,
which is its new corporate image.
In addition to this change, there
is the announcement of the opening
of Conception as a new route as
from October 15th, with two daily
flights apart from the incorporation
of two new Boeing 737 to the fleet
and a fourth frequency to its
Santiago-Madrid route as from
November 5th. |

by 17.9% in August |
As reported
by the Ministry of Tourism and
External Commerce, 96. 761 foreign
travelers arrived at the Jorge
Chavez International Airport
in August, representing an increase
of 17.9% in international visits,
in spite of the earthquake which
shook the country in mid-August. |

| BIT Peru 2007
was held successfully |
| The 7th Bolsa
Iberoamericana de Turismo –BIT
Peru 2007- which this year launched
the Luxury Collection and Incentives,
was successfully held on Monday
and Tuesday at the JW Marriott
Hotel in Lima. The BIT is positioned
as the first South American event
orientated at promoting luxury
tourism and incentives towards
and within the region. |

to San Paulo |
| GOL began with
a new timetable in its flights
between the Jorge Chavez (Lima)
and Guarulhos (Sao Paulo) International
airports, with one daily frequency,
according to the following timetable:

12.40 hrs/departs 14.00 hrs)/Sao

The number
of passengers transported in
international flights from Brasil
decreased by 20% between January
and August this year, compared
to the first eight months of
2006. The number of passengers
in international airlines was
of 10.974 000, compared to the
13.725 000 transported during
the same period in 2006. |

international flights |
| Ocean Air began
international traffic with the
inaugural flight from Sao Paulo
to Mexico City. It will offer
five weekly direct flights in
Boeing 767-300 aircraft. The airline’s
next step will be to begin routes
towards the United States, Peru,
Angola, Nigeria and some European
cities. |
| TAM begins flights
to Caracas |
| As from the 28th
of this month, TAM begins to fly
daily on the Rio de Janeiro-Caracas
route, with stopovers in San Paolo
and Manaus. |
| Former Varig could
resume flight |
| Under the name
of Flex, former Varig (the part
which was not sold to GOL and
that bears the company’s
passives), that only has one aircraft,
one maintenance center, buildings
and many debts, could begin to
fly once again linking the route
between Rio de Janeiro, Salvador
de Bahia and Recife under a low
cost model. According to the recovery
plan, the company already has
the authorization to start operating
as from November and would receive
a Boeing 737/300 from the New
Varig. |

of the Bancaja group announced

will fly between Samana and San
Juan in December |
American Eagle,
the regional airline which is
partner of American Airlines,
confirmed that as from December
13th, it will begin a new service
from Samana to San Juan, Puerto
Rico. The company will use a
Super ATR, of 64 seats, for
