| Buenos Aires has
a tram again |
The first tram
that travels across Buenos Aires
started to run around Puerto
Madero. The tram, which runs
parallel to Alicia Moreau de
Justo Avenue, works from Monday
to Saturdays from 8:00 to 23:00
hrs and Sundays and Holidays
from 9:00 to 22:00 hrs, from
Cordoba to Independencia, every
20 minutes. Stops included in
the road are Independencia,
Belgrano, Corrientes and Cordoba;
the ticket costs one peso, and
there are two vending applications
per station. |

November 7 and 8. This event is
exclusively dedicated to Corporate

| Hotel boutique
will be built in Rosario |
| Fën Group,
a company specialized in hotel
management, will build a hotel
boutique for its Esplendor brand
in Rosario, which will be inaugurated
at the end of 2008. The business
will work in the building of the
Savoy hotel, and includes the
recovery of the facade and the
dome of the old building. The
group plans to open other Esplendor
in Capital Federal, in Palermo
Soho, at the end of 2007. |

100 anniversary |
Punta del Este,
the main Uruguayan resort, located
in the department of Maldonado,
will celebrate 100 years. This
is one of the most important
tourist centers in South America,
especially for Argentinean tourists,
although it also attracts tourists
from Latin America, Europe and

new destinations |
| Pluna will cover
the next months routes to Bariloche,
Mendoza, Rosario, Cordoba, El
Calafate, Mar del Plata, Ezeiza,
Salto, Porto Alegre, Florianopolis,
Foz de Iguazu, Brasilia, Curitiba,
Asuncion, Santa Cruz and Miami,
besides the current destinations:

| European proposal
for LAB in risk |
With the argument
that there is little seriousness
for the negotiation on the side
of LAB executives, the Helitel.Com-AirConsulting
company, formed by European
capitals, announced that its
proposal is in risk and could
even be removed. A source from
this investment company pointed
out that there is a strong division
within the workers and even
orders from some groups to force
them to accept a joint venture
agreement with the American
company Swiss Transatlantic
Corp, although this latter does
not have any experience in the
aeronautic sector. |
| Tourist train
will connect Guaqui and Tiwanaku
|
| The municipal
government of Guaqui will start
the comprehensive project of the
tourist train, which cost implies
more than US$ 1.5 million financed
by several state and private organizations.
The works include the construction
of museums, artisan centers and,
mainly, the fitting out of the
railway between Guaqui and Tiwanaku,
aimed at tourists from both municipalities.

| UNESCO will not
include Machu Picchu in the World
Heritage in Danger List |
Unesco withdrew
the technical observations to
Machu Picchu and decided not
to include it in the World Heritage
in Danger List. The conclusions
of the assessment were included
in a report submitted during
the meeting of the Word Heritage
Committee, responsible entity
for the application of the Unesco’s
World Heritage Convention, celebrated
in Christchurch (New Zealand)
at the beginning of this month.

Hotel implemented two apartments
on the riverbank of Urubamba River.
The Junior Apartment includes
a living room, a bedroom with
a queen size bed, a private bathroom
and a little kitchen. It also
has a wooden terrace for relax
where visitors can enjoy the murmur
of water. Located between the
garden and the river, the Family
Apartment, has a living room,
a dining room, a little kitchen
and two bedrooms with two private
bathrooms – one of them
with a tub. Likewise, a new bridge
on the stream has been fitted
out, which allows the access of
large buses. |
| First Police Station
for Tourist Protection inaugurated |
| A police station
exclusively dedicated to protect
tourists and their rights, with
policemen working along with municipal
guards who speak foreign languages,
was inaugurated in Miraflores.
The South Lima Special Police
Station of Tourism will be managed
by 60 policemen with knowledge
of English, French, Swiss and
Japanese. |

| American Airlines
comes back to Barranquilla |
Starting from
December 13, American Airlines
will resume its flights from
Barranquilla to Miami, in a
Boeing 737-800, with a capacity
for 148 passengers, 18 of them
in executive class. The director

that the return is aimed at
promoting the tourist development
in the region. |

The government
of Costa Rica will submit in
the extraordinary legislative
sessions’ term, to be

of law to convert the 3% hotel
tax in a collection of US$ 15

a hotel close to the sea in Cancun

The Swedish
company Ocean Creations plans
to construct a hotel in the
sea. This hotel will be in harmony
with nature and will balance
luxury and the advantages of
living close to the beach, but

The innovative hotel will be
located at the south of Cancun,
and would be named Hotel Maya.
It will have a pyramidal architecture
and would be inaugurated in
2010. |
