| Sol Lineas
Aereas began its activities
last August, flying to Buenos
Aires and Cordoba, from Rosario,
and to Buenos Aires from Santa
Fe and Rafaela. Subsequently,
it started to fly from Buenos
Aires to Villa Gessel and, starting
from late December 2006, it
operates the route Cordoba,
Rosario, Punta del Este. |

Buenos Aires, located in the luxurious
neighborhood of Recoleta, was
recently awarded a prize by the
distinguished specialized magazine
Travel + Leisure NY, in its January
2007 issue. The Caesar Park Buenos
Aires has 18 floors and 175 exclusive

hotels are being constructed nationwide,
the Tourism Secretariat stated.
The Secretariat also mentioned
that last year 76 hotels were
inaugurated nationwide. |

of guided visits on board of Mar
del Plata Vision buses allows
tourists and locals to get to
know the city through an open-air
bus service. This service has
recreational and cultural characteristics
as well as specially trained personnel,
such as tourist guides and hostesses,
who provide passengers with a
personal attention in Spanish,
English and Portuguese language.

| The Brasilian
Association of Corporate Travel
Managers, in association with
the NBTA - National Business Travel
Association (EUA), promotes the
LACTTE 2007 – 2nd Latin
American Corporate Travel and
Technology Conference, which will
be held in Sao Paulo from February
5th to 7th, in the Grand Hyatt
Sao Paulo hotel. In its second
edition, the event will have more
training sessions, debates and
a technology workshop.

Iberostar in Copacabana |
| The Iberostar
chain started to operate one of
the most prestigious hotels in
Copacabana: A five-star hotel,
known as the tallest hotel in
this Brasilian city, which will
be renamed as Iberostar Copacabana.
The 37-floor building –
the first one of the chain in
Rio de Janerio and the third one
in Brasil – is overlooking
the beach and has approximately
500 rooms and an spectacular panoramic
view of the ocean. Iberostar obtained
the franchise of this hotel (managed
by Starwood until now) for 10

Floating
hotel made of totora reed will
be built |
| Lan informed
that starting from April 4th,
two new international routes will
be added: La Paz and Santa Cruz.
The flights will operate on a
daily basis with direct flights
and without stopovers. |
A project was
started to build a floating hotel
made of totora reed , which will
sail in the open sea. This project
was designed during three years
and its construction will be started
in August. The hotel has 28 rooms,
a restaurant for 180 people and
will have solar panels, video
rooms and other areas. |

| Machu Picchu
consolidated itself as one of
the favorite monuments in The
New 7 Wonders of the World Contest,
according to the last vote report
issued yesterday by the organizers.
The list of the seven best positions
indicates that the Inca ruins
are in the third place. These
partial results can be seen in
the website until February 6th.
The next issue will be presented
on March 7th. The final results
will be known on July 7th this

authorized in late February, the
mayor of the province of La Convencion

(DIRSAER) will carry out the “Information
Campaign on Tourist Security”.
Iperu will bring out a video with
security recommendations and useful
data for foreign tourists. The

will be in English and Spanish.
Likewise, a booklet with useful
data will be prepared and distributed
among foreign tourists as soon
as they arrive in the country. |

Regional Direction of Foreign
Commerce and Tourism of Lambayeque
will promote the south tourist
circuit, which will be added to
the currently promoted archeological
and ecological routes. The circuit
will be integrated to the existing

(Sipan), Zaña, Ucupe, Mocupe
(Lagunas) and Cherrepe. |

| Decameron 2nd
stage will be open |

Decameron Salinitas is committed
to the domestic and international
tourism. Last week, the second
phase of the greatest beach hotel
in the Salvadorean coast was inaugurated.
With an investment of over US$
7 million, the new stage implied
the enlargement of 60 rooms which
operate from last December, and
the construction of a four floor
building and a six floor building,
which sum up 120 rooms. In the
beginning, they will work as rooms
but in the future they may be
rented to guests as apartments. |
