A1 tourists to Machupicchu increased
by 35% in 2006, compared to 2005,
informed PeruRail, dealer of the
service of trains to the historic
sanctuary. The visitors that traveled
on the luxurious train Hiram Bingham
were 13,700 during 2006. There
is an important demand for the
"Vista Dome" 1 and 2
service to Machupicchu, which
as a whole added up to close to
280,000 passengers during the
entire year. The "Back Packer"
service had an inflow of 211,000
passengers with average 95% occupancy
during the entire year. Landa
estimated that this year there
will be a 7.64% growth boosted
by the arrival of tourists with
a greater purchasing power. |

“Alianza Peru” to
optimize their services to Arequipa
and Juliaca. This way, both airlines
will exchange their flight days;
Aerocondor will operate on Tuesdays,
