expansion |
| The hotel
chain Amerian announced the
opening of four establishments
during the next two years. The
first will be completed in June
2008 in Puerto Iguazu. It will
be a hotel which will require
an investment of US$ 10 million.
For the second semester of 2009,
the opening of hotels in Santa
Rosa (La Pampa), Neuquen and
Termas of Rio Hondo is expected. |

| Open Sky agreement
with Dominican Republic |
Chile and the
Dominican Republic signed an
open sky agreement that will
allow promoting the traffic
of passengers between both countries.
Both parties agreed to open
all the air operations without
limitations of air traffic rights
between both and third countries.
There will be no limitations
in the number of frequencies,
or the locations to be operated,
and there will be ample rights
to transport as much cargo as
passengers between both countries.

to Iguazu |
| As from January
19th, Sky Airline will fly to
the Iguazu Falls and will offer
an All Inclusive program. There
will be weekly departures including
7 night accommodation in Foz Iguazu,
with breakfast, lunch and dinners,
travel assistance coverage, transport
from the airport and excursions.
The flight will depart from Iquique,
with destination to the Puerto
Iguazu Airport, Argentina. The
travelers from Antofagasta and
Calama will connect directly with
this flight, without needing to
disembark in Santiago for the
international connection. |

its operating license |
LAB now only
requires applying for a technical
inspection to obtain the renewal
of its operative license. The
airline complied with all the
necessary requirements to obtain
the license for another five
years, only having pending the
application for the technical
inspection of its facilities,
aircraft and flight personnel,
a necessary requirement for
renewing operations. |

| Amazons implement
tourist circuit of the falls |
Next year,
the Regional Direction of Foreign
Commerce and Tourism intends
to implement a tourist circuit
which will only include the
beautiful falls located in this
department. The Tourism regional
director stated that the circuit
would include the Gocta, Churuja,
Chinata, Yumbilla, Corontachaca
falls, among others. |

a directive whereby special measures

| The chain foresees
entering the Peruvian market during
the next year. The company would
foresee entering not only Peru

hotels in London, Paris and New
York, similar to the one which
it has in Milan under the Nhow

| Avianca with more
flights for the end of year |
| Avianca increased
the service in the Cali-Madrid
route from two to four weekly
flights. This measure was adopted
thanks to the renegotiation of
the bilateral agreement between
Spain and Colombia a few weeks
ago, where not only Avianca’s
frequencies were increased, but
also Iberia’s and Air Comet’s.
The Civil Aviation authority of
Colombia notified the company
of the approval of the Bogota-Frankfurt
and Bogota-London routes, destinations
to which the airline had already
flown but had left due to financial
problems. The airline’s
pretension to fly to Paris was
postponed for the next audience. |
| Sonesta Chain
will construct three hotels |
| Sonesta, in a
strategic alliance with GHL Hotels,
announced an investment of US$
70 million for the construction
of hotels in Bogota, Barranquilla
and Cartagena. It will construct
a 127 room hotel in Bogota, located
in the 127 street with carrera
15. The Hotel Sonesta Barranquilla,
which will have 113 rooms, will
be constructed in the new development
area of the Atlantic’s capital,
the Buena Vista area. The Sonesta
Cartagena hotel, which will operate
under the name of Seaway 935 and
will consist of 100 rooms and
100 apartments, will be managed
by the GHL Hotels group, under
the franchise of the North American
chain. |

will begin flights to Queretaro |
| The commercial
director of Delta Air Lines informed
that as from January 14th, 2008,
the airline will fly between Queretaro
and Atlanta, beginning operations
with five weekly flights, with
a capacity for 700 passengers
on the route. Queretaro will be
the 19th destination in Mexico
and will connect the State with
different international flights,
via the Hartsfield-Jackson airport. |
