company has already assigned the
flights: there would be two daily
frequencies from Monday to Friday
between Buenos Aires and Montevideo

sent the aircraft quotation requested
by the Leadgate consortium in
order to incorporate Pluna according

are waiting for the response of
Embraer, the other company which
was requested a quotation. |

to 30th the Bourbon Cataratas

do Iguazu International Tourism
Festival, an event that expects

Nine Latin American countries
have already confirmed their participation;
Mexico, Peru and Venezuela among
them. |

200 million in bonds valid until
2017 |
| TAM announced
the issuance of US$ 200 million
in international bonds valid until
2017. The money obtained through
the sale of these bonds will be
especially used for the financing,
renovation and fleet expansion,
while a part of it will be assigned
to general corporate goals. |

starts to fly to Los Angeles to
connect to East |
| Starting from
June 2nd, LAN will start to operate
4 weekly non-stop frequencies
Santiago-Los Angeles served by
B-767/300ER aircrafts in order
to gain profit from the new connection
agreements with JAL and those
already existing with Korean Air.
This will not only make the connection
with East easier, but it also
will offer more rapid connections
for passengers from Argentina,
Uruguay or Bolivia who want to
arrive in LAX with a single stop.

|

Spirit
will be authorized to fly from
the United States to Peru |
| “Monumental
Arequipa and Living Culture”
is the name of the new service
of the night Bustour in Arequipa
which includes the tourist center
“Mundo Alpaca” into
its itinerary, as last circuit
point. This will allow visitors
to know the manufacturing process
of the alpaca wool: screening,
spinning and dyeing carried out
by artisans from peasant communities
of Cusco. |
In some weeks,
Spirit Airlines might receive
the operation authorization to
fly from the United States to
Peru, after having complied with
the application submission, the
Civil Aeronautic general director
announced. The airline informed
months ago that, as part of its
expansion plan, they could start
to fly directly to Peru from the
International Airport of Fort
Lauderdale – Hollywood (Florida)
in May. |

increases seating capacity in
flights between Bogota and Madrid
|
| Starting from
this month, Avianca extended its
seating capacity in the route
Bogota-Madrid-Bogota. Thanks to
the incorporation of more powerful
engines to the Boeing 767 aircrafts,
travelers have 175 additional
seats per week in flights between
both countries. |
| Aero Republica
offers second daily flight to
Panama |
| Aero Republica,
a subsidiary of Copa Airlines,
will increase its daily flights
from Bogota to the city of Panama
to two daily flights starting
from July 13th. |

20 five star hotels in Latin America

| For late 2007
the Hotel Chain Accor will begin
its expansion plan for Central
and South America in Colombia,
where it plans to build 20 five-star
hotels in the following four years,
with an investment of € 160

are expected |
| Preparations for
the IV Central America Travel
Market (CATM) meeting to be held
in San Jose, Costa Rica, from
October 11th to 13th are being
performed. This event will gather
tour operators, airlines, hotels
and media from Central America,
Europe and Asia. The event’s
venue will be the Cariari Country
Club, which has adequate rooms
to hold conferences and meetings. |
Iberia Airlines
and Air Comet announced they will
offer, starting from June, 90,000
and 900 seats respectively, in
direct flights to Costa Rica.
This Central American country
expects to end year 2007 with
a total increase of 650,000 seats
in flights coming from abroad
–especially from the United
States, Canada and Europe- and
which will be added to the 2.2
million seats offered by airlines
in 2006. |

America and Carnival Cruises will
include Sonora and Mar de Cortes |

Hyatt
will build a luxury hotel in D.F.

the last quarter of 2008, two
American tourist cruise companies
will add, for the first time,
Mar de Cortes and the vacation
destination of Guaymas, Sonora,
into its itinerary. The director
of the Commission for the Tourism
Promotion announced that the companies
Holland America and Carnival Cruise
Lines are the shipping companies
that will begin this itinerary. |
The Global Hyatt
Corporation announced the construction
of an ambitious project named
Park Hyatt Mexico-Reforma, which
will imply an investment of US$
130 million and which will be
aimed at high purchasing power
clients. This luxury hotel, which
will open in 2009, will have a
modern architectonic design, combined
with residential indoors. It also
have 150 rooms and luxury suites,
four restaurants, boutiques and
a heliport, therefore it will
be aimed at domestic and foreign
businessmen with a high purchasing
power. |
