the authorization to fly everyday
without stopovers between Chicago
and Buenos Aires, starting from
October 28th. The flight will
be served by a Boeing 767-300
aircraft. Buenos Aires will

from the American Airlines’
hub in Chicago. |
From May 17th
to 20th, a new Expo Nieve will
be held in the Rural. This meeting
will gather the main Argentinean
and foreign ski centers, snowsport
schools, operators and travel
and tourism agencies, snowsport
equipment companies, accessories,
clothes, and motor vehicles
vendors, hotels, gastronomy,
airlines, land transport, traveler
assistance companies, public
and private entities, provincial
and municipal entities, vehicle

| The Barcelo Club
del Lago Hotel, in Punta del Este,

courts, adult and children swimming
pools, as well as an indoor tempered

will have the largest sea aquarium
in Latin America |
| Brasil approved
the AquaRio project, the largest
sea aquarium in Latin America
that will be built in the port
zone of the city. The project,
which will imply an investment
of R$ 65 million, is a private
initiative in association with
the prefecture, which has handed
over the land. The project plans
to exhibit 12,000 sea animals
of 400 species in two large tanks
and 40 small tanks. It is planned
to be finished in late 2008. |

flights to Rio |

November, Air France will increase
the number of flights between
Paris and Rio de Janeiro, increasing
from 7 frequencies to 13 frequencies
per week. Thus, the airline will
have 13 direct weekly frequencies

norms in airports |
| The National Civil
Aviation Agency (ANAC) confirmed
that starting form this month
it will impose strict security
norms for hand luggage. According
to experts, this measure may increase
the existing confusion in local

the New 7 Wonders of the World,

To date, the list is leaded by
the archeological site of Chichen
Itza, in Mexico; followed by the

Great Wall of China (China), Macchu
Picchu (Peru), Petra (Jordan),

return simplified for foreign
tourists |
| The Department
of Finance and Administration
informed about several modifications
to the 2006 Tax Bill, related
to the return of the Valued Added
Tax (VAT) to foreign tourists.
With these changes, those who
leave the country, by air or sea,
will have to present the foreign
tourist form dully filled-in,
as well as the printed digital
tax voucher issued by the stores
where the goods were purchased
and which certify the purchase
for which the return is requested.
Additionally, the original valid
passport and the boarding pass
or document certifying that the
foreign tourist is leaving the
country will have to be shown. |

remodeled |

tourist offer have made Acapulco
to be listed again among the main
tourist destinations of Mexico.
Private investment in Acapulco
surpassed US$ 3 million in 2006,
and increased by 14.5% in relation

open routes to the United States
and Latin America in the second
half of this year |
| Interjet will
open its first routes to the United
States and some Latin American
countries in the second half of
this year, its General Director
informed. The goal of the Mexican
low-cost airline is that its flights
cover all the main routes in the
country within the next five years,
which means 40 destinations, and
at least another three international
destinations. |
