| Buenos Aires will provide information on digital screens in hotels, museums and cultural centres |
The tourist section of the Ministry of Culture of Buenos Aires will publicize the cultural and tourist attractions of the capital city on digital screens installed in more than 40 locations such as hotels, museums, cultural centres and tourist information centres. This is in addition to the five existing tourist information centres (Florida y Diagonal Norte, Recoleta, Puerto Madero, Retiro and Plaza San Martín). |

Pink Point Buenos Aires will open on 2nd September. This is a tourist information centre designed for gays and lesbians where you can get details of cultural life, support groups, travel agencies, clubs, fashion and design stores, restaurants, language schools and all those Gay or Gay friendly business services in the city and across the country. |

United Airlines restarts seasonal service between Rio de Janeiro and Washington
|
United Airlines announced that, as from 15th December through to 10th January 2011, its seasonal service between Rio de Janeiro and Washington will be resumed. This flight will be operated by a Boeing 767-300ER. |

Delta Air Lines has requested authorization from the DOT to fly from its hub in Atlanta to Brasilia / Manaus, three times a week as of November 18th. |

Sky Airline to fly to Buenos Aires as from 3rd September
|
As from 3rd September, Sky Airline will start flying between Santiago and Buenos Aires (Ezeiza). This route will be operated by two A320 Airbuses purchased in April. Sky Airline already flies to La Paz (Bolivia) and Arequipa (Peru). |

Arequipa has the first information touch screen for tourists
|
In Arequipa an information touch screen is now available to tourists to access any information on tourist attractions and services. It has been installed in the City Tourist Information Office and provides information on location, weather, museums, roads, hotels and restaurants. Soon there will be two additional screens, one at the coach station and another at the airport. In the long term seven other screens will be implemented in the most important tourist areas of the region. |

Mintur develops tourist destinations and facilities in Cotopaxi |
The Ministry of Tourism will allocate about U.S. $ 200,000, through to the end of 2010 to the province of Cotopaxi, to strengthen competitive tourist products, through sustainable use of natural and cultural heritage. The Tourism Minister stated that to boost the attractions of Cotopaxi, tourist circuits are being created which are connected to the "Tren de la Mitad del Mundo", excursion routes are being developed and community tourist initiatives are being promoted through the productive programme "Consolida".

FITA 2010 from 23rd to 26th September |
The International Tourism Fair of the Americas will be held from 23rd to 26th September. The most important tourist event of the year has 90% of spaces booked up and is getting ready for its first edition in Mexico City.
